About Your Psychologist

Evidence-based therapy delivered with compassion and empathy

Zamuxolo Ngubane is a counselling psychologist who is deeply committed to making mental health care accessible to people from all walks of life. She has worked in both the public and private sectors, supporting diverse individuals, couples and families through a wide range of emotional, relational and mental health challenges.

Integrative Approach

Zamuxolo Ngubane’s work is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which involves exploring the origins of present triggers, emotions, and relational patterns. Through this process, clients are gently supported in gaining insight into their experiences, themselves, and how they relate to the world around them.

She also integrates other therapeutic modalities according to each client’s unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to support clients in coping with stressors, regulating emotions, and changing behaviours that no longer serve them or feel helpful.

Accessible and professional psychological support

The practice accommodates both medical aid and cash clients, with sessions offered in a supportive, confidential and client-centred therapeutic environment.

Individual Therapy

R1200 50–60 minute session

Individual therapy sessions provide a dedicated one-on-one space to explore emotional challenges, personal growth, coping strategies and mental well-being in a safe and supportive environment.

Couples & Family Therapy

R1600 50–60 minute session

Couples and family sessions focus on improving communication, strengthening relationships, navigating conflict and supporting healthier relational dynamics within the family or partnership system.

Medical aid rates apply for medical aid clients. Reduced rates may also be available for individuals experiencing financial hardship or difficult circumstances, subject to eligibility, because mental health support should remain accessible and compassionate.
